Everything Olympus, Pretoria has to offer

Olympus was once an area characterised mainly by small agricultural holdings. Over the years, it has been transformed into an area renowned for its modern estates, mansions and outstanding amenities. As a real estate company specialising in property sales and rentals in and around Olympus, the CSi Property Group takes a deep dive into Olympus and everything it has to offer. In this guide, we'll cover reasons why Olympus residents love their home, real estate options in Olympus and amenities and things to do in Olympus.

Reasons why Olympus residents love their home

For a start, the infinitely Instagrammable Bronberg Mountains provide a beautiful backdrop to life in Olympus. It's a suburb that offers both easy access to every imaginable amenity and a hop and a skip to everything that Mother Nature has to offer.

Olympus is home to many residential estates, which are characterised by comprehensive security, beautiful homes and various communal amenities such as clubhouses, swimming pools and tennis courts. Despite all that it has to offer, it's known as a quiet and safe area where people go for jogs, walk their dogs and make the most of the beauty around them. The area still includes natural and agricultural areas that locals use for walking and cycling.

Real estate options in Olympus

The CSi Property Group is proud to offer an array of sectional title real estate options for people looking to buy or rent property in Olympus. On the one hand, there are stylish apartments in developments like Boardwalk Heights, which are perfect for young families. On the other hand, graceful simplexes and standalone houses are available in Bronberg Retirement Estate, providing a golden opportunity for seniors to make the most of what Olympus has to offer.

A typical apartment in Olympus offers one or two bedrooms as well as an open-plan kitchen and lounge area. Features such as solar geysers, kids' play areas and braai facilities are common. In the case of Boardwalk Heights, residents have the added advantage that their home borders on a 90-hectare walking and jogging trail farm, which provides ample opportunities to spend time outdoors and keep fit. Another factor worth mentioning is the affordability of Olympus. As of September 2024, it's easy to find an apartment to rent for under R7 000 per month.

For retirees, Bronberg Retirement Estate offers a wide variety of features and luxuries. From necessities like a dining room, frail care and an on-site clinic to extras like a laundromat, two swimming pools and a beauty salon, Bronberg has it all.

Amenities and things to do in and around Olympus

Families in Olympus are spoilt for choice if they are interested in sending their children to private schools. Curro Woodhill College, Maragon Private School and Bambolini Private School are all in easy reach of home.

When it's time to hit the shops - whether for necessities or a spot of retail therapy - there are plenty of options in and around Olympus. Shopping centres like Olympus Village, Woodlands Boulevard and Glen Village Shopping Centre ensure that all your needs are adequately met.

We mentioned earlier that Olympus offers plenty of opportunities to make the most of the great outdoors and possibly the best opportunity is to visit Olympus's Hedianga Farm. You'll pay a small fee for access, but it's well worth it when you consider that there are three trails to choose from - and the farm is dog-friendly. All three trails start at the same point, and the first is the "green trail", which is a very easy 5km, popular among dog walkers. The yellow trail is a moderate 10km which takes about two and a half hours and the red trail is a tougher 15km route.
